Day in the Life of ShaunaaShikarri :)

Heyy guys!
So I haven't posted up all this week and I am sorry for that!
I've been pretty busy as my mam has gone away for 2 weeks to Scandinavia and I've been looking after my house and my little doggy Luddy (his full name is Ludwig, but we all call him Luddy!)

Here's a picture of my little baby! He is my lil' prince :D

To keep me company while my mam is gone, my boyfriend Stephen has moved in, which was actually my mam's idea ha 

My mam absolutely adores my boyfriend and wanted him to keep me company while she was gone!
Me & Stephen are planning on filming the boyfriend tag video this week btw so if anyone enjoy watching those videos (I do cause I think their so adorable ^__^ ) then look forward to seeing that on my youtube channel!

I did however pop into town for an hour to get some food bits in Tescos and on my way I stopped off at LUSH ! I absolutely adore LUSH products from their facemasks, to the bathbombs ! 

I decided to treat myself to 2 new bathbombs Twilight & Big Blue. 

Twilight bathbomb is a gorgeous purple bathbomb that is scented with Lavender (one of my FAVOURITE smells!).
Its supposed to be super relaxing and its also supposed to change colour from bright to dark to resemble a sunset, ohhh lovely!

The Big Blue bathbomb is a blue/green bathbomb that has pieces of real seaweed dispersed throughout it!

One of my favourite facemasks from LUSH is BB Seaweed and I adore anything that reminds me of the beach! So I just had to grab this one! Its supposed to turn your bath water a lovely blue foamy colour, just like the sea :D 

So, the rest of my week has been taken up by cleaning, dog watching and the normal household stuff :)
I am waiting on quite a lot of makeup orders, INCLUDING a Limecrime package which includes the new Babette! Once it arrives, I will be doing a blogpost on ALL my Lime Crime lipsticks including pros & cons
+ SWATCHES!! :D

Inglot Launch Event in Blanchardstown + Mini Inglot Haul!

Heyy guys!
So, I received an email at the start of the week from Inglot about a launch event they were having for their new Nightlife Nail Collection in their Blanchardstown store.
This was the second time I got an email about one of these events, unfortunately I couldn't go to the first one so I was determined to get to this one.
I had to make the awfully long trek to Blanchardstown ( over an hour to get there and the same to get home, nightmarish! ), but I'm thoroughly glad I went after buying some little goodies with my nice discount xD

So, I have an Inglot pro card which ment I had a discount already, but on top of that I got an extra discount because it was a launch event so YAY!! :D
And I also got some free little goodies with my purchase which was an extra little treat!
I'm gonna show you guys the products I bought and then the products I received with my purchase.


First up, I bought a new 5 pan Freedom System Palette!

Colours from left to right:
151, 397, 504, 366, 335

Second thing I bought was a product I've wanted to get for a while now! Its their Sparkling Dust!
Makes an absolutely FAB cheekbone highlight!

The last product I bought myself was a really nice shiny lipgloss!

Makeup DIY: Melt your lipsticks & Create your own lip palette!

Heyy guys! 
So I've contemplated doing this for quite awhile, but I was put off for a couple of reasons. 
1. I didn't want to destroy my lipsticks. 
2. There's some lipsticks I use frequently on myself and I didn't wanna melt the whole lot of them. 
3. I couldn't find a good empty lip palette to put them into! 

However, I finally caved in and did it due to the fact that carrying around multiple lipstick tubes to photoshoots and stuff is a bit of a pain >.<

There's a small list of stuff you will need to do this:
1. A lit candle!
2. A knife to cut your lipsticks
3. A spoon
4. An empty palette for your lipsticks
5. Cotton buds (for any messy bits you need to mix)
And of course 6. YOUR LIPSTICKS :D

The empty palette I have is by a company who specialize in makeup tools and various empty palettes called Japonesque. I purchased my palette online at guru makeup emporium !

I'm gonna go through all the steps I took with you!
Step 1. Lay your palette on a flat surface as the melted lipsticks will take a few minutes to dry in the palette and you want them to dry nicely in shape :)
Step 2. Take your chosen lipstick and cut it in half (I found half a lipstick was plenty to fill the individual slots)
and then place the cut off lipstick on your spoon.
Step 3. Hold the spoon over your lit candle and wait for it to melt completely, so there is no lumps!
Don't hold the spoon too close to the flame or the lipstick will boil and you'll get air bubbles (I found MAC lipsticks are more prone to it!)
Step 4. Once your colour is completely melted, your into one of the compartments and clean up any spillage!
And once it's dry, YOUR DONE!

Repeat this process for however many lipsticks you are doing and enjoy your new lipstick palette!
Would definitely recommend the Japonesque palettes btw, they really are fantastic!

Product Test & Review - GOSH BB Cream

Heyy guys!
So this week, I was in Doc Morris pharmacy and I came across the GOSH makeup display.
For awhile now, I've been contemplating buying the GOSH BB cream. I have sampled afew different ones, including the Nivea and Garnier BB creams and I kept noticing one very bad thing -
THE LIGHTEST SHADE IS RIDICULOUSLY DARK! No joke I tested these on my hand and the lightest colour was ORANGE! How does that even make sense?!
So, morale of that little story is I kinda gave up on BB creams because of this.
But the GOSH BB cream lightest shade seemed to ACTUALLY be light! So I caved in and bought it.
It costs 13.99euro, which is around the same price as GOSH foundations which I thought was kinda silly.. but oh well.
This is what the BB cream looked like on my hand :

So, as I said I purchased the lightest shade which is called Sand. It matches my skin tone quiet well and it really does disappear into my skin.

I took some pictures of my face BEFORE I applied the cream and AFTER so you can see the exact difference. No editing was done on these photos!

Okay, I'm someone who is used to a good bit more coverage than this but I will say it does tone down my redness a little and it does feel nice to have such lightweight product on, specially when its been so warm in Dublin! However, I am someone who is prone to dark circles and as you can see, is doesn't cover that kind of thing very well.. I have been wearing this the last few days, BUT I always wear a concealer with it as I need something under my eyes or I look like a zombie xD

I don't think this product would work very well for someone with acne prone skin or blemish prone skin. You would need to have quite clear skin to begin with to have this product do anything for you.

Pros for this product: Lightweight, good shade match, quite moisturizing, has an SPF of 15, helps tone down redness.

Cons for this product: Does not cover dark circles or blemishes, the tube is quite small for 14euro, will have to be paired with a concealer.

So since this blog is Beauty Lust, I'm gonna rate this product on a scale of:
HOW MUCH WOULD I LUST AFTER THIS PRODUCT?

OOTD - I Wanna Be Sedated! AND EOTD! Summer in ShaunaaShikarii land!

So guys this is my first OOTD post! Woopwoop! 

Today is an extremely hot day in Dublin city and before I go off to work, I found sometime to chill in my back garden with some of my family, including my mother who is kind enough to take my pictures for me XD

I tend not to go with whats in fashion and just pick stuff I like and feel good in, whether its in fashion or not! Hence why I end up going outside like this! :D

EOTD! & A Nice Little Introduction! :)

Heyy guys!
So this is gonna be my first post on this new blog and I decided instead of doing just one long boring introduction post that I'd just do an EOTD (which stands for Eye of the Day incase some of you aren't familiar with it )

So, the last while I've been wearing a lot of neutral colours and very subtle looks
and today I wanted to get away from that a bit! I also wanted to test out a new bright turquoise eyeshadow I bought from Inglot at IMATS! So this is the look I created :)

So, guys that is my first EOTD and blog post. I guess I should put a little intro here! 
For those of you who don't know me already, HELLO! I'm ShaunaaShikarri and I'm a 20year old MUA and Beauty Youtuber! I've created this blog to post up all the things that I can't post on youtube, such as individual product reviews, EOTDS, possibly outfits of the day if I'm going somewhere special and all little things like that!
